My story:
My uncle died of lung cancer. He went through chemotherapy for about 12 years and was very sick. I think that cancer should be cured because so many people die! My uncle was kind of like a hippy man and was really nice and funny.... I absolutely hate cancer because it has killed a lot of people in my life and I feel like I could of saved my family. I also lost my great grandma from breast cancer. She was really old but she had breast cancer.

How I think you can prevent cancer:
  • I think that if you get good sleep (at least 6hrs) you can prevent colon cancer
  • I don't think there is a way to prevent breast cancer.
  • One way to prevent lung cancer is don't smoke a lot.

Cancer facts!!
  • An estimated 5 to 10% of cancers are entirely hereditary. Most cancers develop through a combination of hereditary and environmental factors.
  •  Smoking causes an estimated 90% of lung cancer. Tobacco has killed 50 million people in the last decade. If trends continue, a billion people will die from tobacco use and exposure this century, which equates to one person every six seconds.
  •  Those who sleep less than six hours a night are more likely to develop colon cancer than those who sleep more.
  •  Cancer is not just one disease; rather it is a set of diseases. Different agents cause each type of cancer.
  •  There are 28 million cancer survivors worldwide.
